1. Hollywood Walk of Fame

This famous sidewalk has over 2,700 stars with celebrity names. You can walk along Hollywood Boulevard and find stars of your favorite actors, singers, and directors. Street performers add to the fun atmosphere. 

Don’t miss the TCL Chinese Theatre nearby. Here you can see handprints and footprints of famous stars pressed into cement blocks. It’s a great spot for photos.

2. Universal Studios Hollywood

This theme park lets you see how movies are made. Take the Studio Tour to visit real movie sets. Ride exciting attractions based on popular films like Jurassic World and The Mummy. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is magical for fans.

3. Griffith Observatory and Park

The Observatory sits on a hill with amazing views of LA. You can see the Hollywood Sign and downtown from here. Inside, check out space exhibits and a cool planetarium show. The building itself is beautiful.

This beach has soft sand and blue water. The Santa Monica Pier has a small amusement park with a Ferris wheel, roller coaster, and games. Try seafood at the pier restaurants. The beach is wide and perfect for sunbathing or volleyball. 

Nearby Third Street Promenade has great shopping and street performers. Rent a bike to ride along the beach path to Venice.

5. The Getty Center

This amazing museum sits on a hilltop with great views. Take a tram up to see art from different time periods. The gardens are beautiful with flowers and water features. The white buildings look modern and sleek. 

Best of all, admission is free (you just pay for parking). The café serves good food with a view. Go on a clear day to see all the way to the ocean.

6. Disneyland Resort

Located in nearby Anaheim, this is the original Disney park that Walt Disney built. It has classic rides like Space Mountain and Pirates of the Caribbean. Meet Mickey and other Disney characters.

This famous street in Beverly Hills is known for luxury shopping. Even if you don’t buy anything, it’s fun to window shop and people watch. The palm-lined streets are clean and pretty. You might spot a celebrity. The Beverly Hills sign in Beverly Gardens Park is perfect for photos. Nearby cafés offer places to rest and enjoy a coffee or snack.

9. Movie Studio Tours

See where movies and TV shows are made. Warner Bros. Studio Tour shows you real sets, props, and sound stages. Paramount Pictures is the oldest working studio in Hollywood. Sony Pictures offers tours too.

This newer museum has modern art from the last 70 years. The building itself looks cool with its honeycomb-like outside. Inside, find works by famous artists like Andy Warhol and Basquiat. The Infinity Mirror Rooms by Yayoi Kusama are very popular. Best of all, general admission is free but you need tickets. Reserve online ahead of time to avoid disappointment.

12. Getty Villa

This museum looks like an ancient Roman house. It sits near the ocean in Pacific Palisades. Inside are Greek and Roman statues, vases, and jewelry. The gardens have fountains and herbs like Romans grew. 

It feels like stepping back in time. Admission is free but you need to reserve tickets. The ocean views make this a peaceful place to spend an afternoon.

13. Hollywood Sign Hike

Get up close to the famous Hollywood Sign. Several hiking trails in Griffith Park lead to good viewpoints. The trails range from easy to moderate. Bring water and wear good shoes. The views of LA are amazing from up there.

18. La Brea Tar Pits and Museum

See real tar pits where prehistoric animals got trapped thousands of years ago. Scientists still dig up bones here. The museum shows fossils of mammoths, saber-toothed cats, and giant sloths. 

You can watch lab workers clean real fossils. The bubbling tar pits outside smell like asphalt. It’s amazing to see this prehistoric site right in the middle of LA.

19. The Huntington Library and Gardens

This large estate has beautiful themed gardens. The Japanese Garden, Desert Garden, and Rose Garden are highlights. The library has rare books and manuscripts, including a Gutenberg Bible.
