Atlantis Dubai: A Beach Holiday Like No Other
If there’s one place in the world that truly feels like a dream, it’s Atlantis Dubai. From the moment I arrived, I felt like I’d stepped into a magical underwater kingdom filled with luxury, adventure, and charm.
With its own private beach, world-famous waterpark, aquarium, and stunning design, my stay at Atlantis Dubai quickly became one of the most unforgettable vacations I’ve ever had.
Whether you’re visiting for relaxation, family fun, or a romantic escape, Atlantis Dubai on Palm Jumeirah offers something special for everyone.

Location, Location, Location!
They say the secret to real estate is all about location and the same applies to great resorts. The builders of Atlantis, The Palm clearly understood that well.
Sitting proudly at the very tip of the Palm Jumeirah, the resort overlooks the dazzling blue waters of the Arabian Gulf on one side and offers breathtaking views of the Dubai Marina skyline on the other. The resort’s location alone makes it worth visiting — it’s like being on your own tropical island, but with all the modern luxury Dubai is famous for.
You can reach Atlantis Dubai either by a regular taxi or, if you want something more scenic, take the Palm Monorail. The monorail glides along the “trunk” of the Palm and ends right at the gates of the resort giving you the most perfect first glimpse of this architectural wonder.

First Impressions & Check-In Experience
I landed in Dubai early in the morning, feeling both tired and excited. Thankfully, the team at Atlantis Dubai welcomed me warmly and even allowed me to check in as early as 6 AM! That small gesture immediately made me feel valued as a guest.
While my room was being prepared, I received a guest pass that gave me access to all resort facilities. That meant I could enjoy the beach, pools, and restaurants long before my official check-in time. With a late checkout the next day, I practically got two full days of fun for the price of one night — a pretty amazing start to my holiday!

The Grand Lobby: A True Work of Art
The moment I walked into the Atlantis Dubai lobby, I was completely stunned. My first word? “WOW!”
The space is enormous and beautifully designed with a blend of Arabian elegance and ocean-inspired fantasy. The centerpiece of the lobby is a 30-foot-tall glass sculpture by Dale Chihuly, made up of over 3,000 pieces of colorful blown glass. The sculpture flows from cool blues and turquoise to fiery oranges and golds, perfectly reflecting the shades of the sea and sunset.

All around the lobby, every detail tells a story from the fish-shaped columns and shell-inspired lights to the Arabic mosaic floors and soft water fountains that create a calming background sound. The whole space feels like stepping into a mythical underwater city.
Even beyond the lobby, the hallways and public areas continue the theme. Every corner is filled with creative touches hand-painted ceilings, mosaic patterns, and colorful glass details that make you stop and admire the artistry.

The Outdoor Spaces: Paradise on the Beach
Stepping outside, the beauty continues. The lobby opens up to a grand fountain terrace that overlooks the Royal Pool, one of the most picturesque areas of the resort.
There’s also a zero-entry pool (perfect for lounging) and nearly one mile of private sandy beach. There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas for guests, so you can always find your perfect sunbathing spot.
One of my favorite moments was waking up early to watch the sunrise over the Arabian Gulf. The resort was quiet, the air was cool, and the first light of day shimmered across the water and a truly peaceful start to the day.

My Room at Atlantis Dubai
While the resort has some of the most luxurious suites in the world, including the Underwater Suites and the famous Royal Bridge Suite, I stayed in a Deluxe Guest Room. And honestly, it was wonderful!
The room had subtle Arabian-inspired decor, a comfy king-size bed, crisp linens, and a balcony with stunning views of the Palm and Dubai skyline. The bathroom featured both a large tub and a walk-in shower, complete with plush towels, robes, and amazing-smelling toiletries.
Little touches like complimentary bottled water and a cozy seating area made it extra comfortable. It felt like a home away from home but with five-star service.

Relaxation Time at ShuiQi Spa
After exploring all morning, I decided to spend the afternoon at the ShuiQi Spa, pronounced “Shway-key.”
Just entering the spa felt like stepping into a calm oasis. The design matched the resort’s underwater theme, with colorful murals, soft lighting, and glass art resembling sea urchins.
I booked a Shiseido Spa Taster, a 45-minute treatment that included a facial and hand massage. It was absolutely heavenly! The therapist was professional and kind, and I left the session feeling relaxed, refreshed, and completely jet-lag-free.
Afterward, I lounged in the relaxation area and enjoyed a soak in the hot tub, ending the day on a blissful note.

Dining at Atlantis Dubai
Food lovers, this part’s for you! Atlantis Dubai has an incredible 23 restaurants and cafes, offering everything from casual snacks to fine dining experiences by world-renowned chefs.
Here are some of the highlights:
- Ossiano: An underwater seafood restaurant with views of the aquarium (perfect for romantic dinners).
- Nobu: World-famous Japanese cuisine with an Arabian twist.
- Saffron & Kaleidoscope: Buffet-style restaurants serving international dishes.
- The Burger Joint: For a more relaxed meal.
I had lunch at Nasimi Beach, enjoying the warm sea breeze while savoring a Pizza Chicken Tandoori topped with mint chutney and crispy onions, so good!

Dinner was at Ayama, a Lebanese restaurant, where I sampled a few delicious meze dishes. For breakfast the next day, I skipped the buffet and opted for a cappuccino and a slice of cake at Illy Café, which overlooks the aquarium, definitely not the healthiest breakfast, but one of the most memorable!
Exploring The Lost Chambers Aquarium
One of the most magical parts of staying at Atlantis Dubai is the Lost Chambers Aquarium home to more than 65,000 marine animals.
The aquarium is designed as if you’re exploring the mythical ruins of Atlantis, with tunnels, chambers, and fascinating artifacts mixed in with the marine displays. You can spend hours just watching fish, rays, and sharks glide past the massive viewing windows.
As a guest, I got unlimited access to the aquarium, and I loved it so much that I joined a behind-the-scenes tour called “Fish Tales.” A marine biologist led the tour, showing how the team cares for the animals, tests water quality, and raises young marine life.
The tour ended with the chance to hand-feed the fish in the Ambassador Lagoon, and an unforgettable experience!

Adventure Time at Aquaventure Waterpark
No stay at Atlantis Dubai would be complete without visiting Aquaventure Waterpark, the largest in the Middle East. Hotel guests enjoy unlimited access, so you can go as often as you like.
The park covers half the resort and features something for everyone from adrenaline-pumping slides to relaxing rivers.
Highlights include:
- The Leap of Faith: A nearly vertical slide that shoots you through a clear tunnel surrounded by sharks.
- Lazy River: A mile-long waterway that carries you through rapids and cascades (it’s not always “lazy”!).
- Splashers Zone: A fun play area for little kids with shaded seating for parents.
There are also private cabanas for rent, plenty of lounge areas, and several food and drink stalls. I spent hours just floating around, soaking up the sun, and feeling like a kid again.

Pro tip: Arrive early to beat the crowds and grab the best sunbeds!
Why Atlantis Dubai Is Worth It?
Even though I stayed for just one night (and two amazing days), I could easily have spent a whole week there. Every corner of the resort has something new to discover — from art to architecture, from marine life to mouthwatering cuisine.
It’s perfect for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. Kids will love the waterpark and aquarium, while adults can enjoy world-class dining, luxury spa treatments, and endless relaxation by the sea.
And when you think about it, the price of staying here includes so many extras, unlimited waterpark entry, aquarium access, private beach use, and top-notch facilities that it’s actually great value for what you get.

Final Thoughts
My beach holiday at Atlantis Dubai was nothing short of magical. It’s one of those rare places where luxury meets imagination, and every detail feels designed to create joy. Whether it’s watching fish swim past your dinner table, floating along the lazy river, or simply sipping coffee with a view of the Arabian Gulf — every moment is special.
If you’re planning your next vacation, I can’t recommend Atlantis Dubai enough. Whether it’s your first visit to Dubai or your tenth, this resort will surprise you, delight you, and maybe even make you fall in love with the ocean all over again.
